Younger members of St John’s took center stage on Sunday 1st June, as we marked the end of a successful church school year.

Members of St John’s Christian Education Program read the lessons and led prayers during the Eucharist service. As well as receiving prizes and certificates, pupils presented posters to the congregation describing themselves and their ambitions, some taking the microphone to answer questions.
Led by Jan Nykyforchyn and Evamarie Cooper, the Christian Education Program has provided routine classes for learning for children from pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, as well as monthly activities focused on having fun and building friendship.
Evamarie said “lessons on the Bible were paired with hands-on music, art and movement, helping to tell the stories being taught each week. Examples of this year’s fun and fellowship included bowling, cookouts, pumpkin painting, wreath making and a hot cocoa bar, and jumping at Supercharged, as well as pizza parties!”
